Commercial drones like the DJI Mavic 3T and Skydio X2D are easy to fly and excel at
reconnaissance but lack speed and payload capacity. Traditional FPV drones offer high
speed and payload capability but are hard to control due to basic flight systems.
The R1 Advanced FPV (AFPV) merges the strengths of both types. It features an AI-enabled
microprocessor and proprietary software, allowing it to hover, avoid terrain, and fly with
ease—functions typically missing in standard FPVs. Powered by a Jetson board, the R1 AFPV
supports advanced computing for enhanced control and performance. Future versions will
enable autonomous flight in GPS-denied environments using commercial optical
recognition, making it the only FPV platform with true AI integration.
